Turning Family Portraits into Works of Art

Jul 30, 2018

So you’ve had a family portrait session done, now what? Don’t fall into the trap of shoving the disc of images to the bottom of the drawer, or saving them to a folder on your computer and forgetting about them. Your portraits are meant to be displayed in your home – just as you would showcase pieces of art.

Wall Art, customized to match a homes interior

We know your home is a reflection of you and your family, and as a full-service portrait boutique, we are uniquely positioned to help you display your memories in a way that captures both your style and beauty – and that of your home. The Main Line features a mix of modern and historic architecture, some of which dates back to the 1700s. With that in mind, we have three unique collections of frames and albums – Classic, Luxe and Organic – for families to choose from, and we take the time to sit down with each client not only to help select the best images from their session, but also to help determine the best way to display them at home.

Classic Bamboo

Classic Portraits

One of our favorite walls in the studio captures the Reynold Family over the course of seven years – when the youngest was still on her way. Throughout the years we’ve had the privilege of capturing this family’s growth in the studio, at their home and during outdoor sessions. In our studio, we showcase these memories in gold bamboo frames (from our Classic line), which features a clean, timeless look that is perfect for a more traditionally styled home.

Modern Float Frames

We also have a wall featuring our float mounts – acrylic frames with metal grommets that give the illusion of your portraits floating off the wall. Clean and crisp, these frames are perfect for the modern home. All neutrals or bright, big pops of color work perfectly for those interested in styling a session for these types of frames.

Organic Canvas

Canvas wrapped in reclaimed wood

And, for those with a love of deep color and lots of texture, we are pleased to showcase an update on our beloved canvas. Nestled between two pieces of reclaimed wood, our canvas takes on a more casual look that is still packed with style.

What’s right for you? You’ll have to come in and judge for yourself. No matter which avenue you choose, we’re here to help you create and design timeless pieces for your home, featuring the best subject of all: your family.
