Our Annual Studio Refresh is here, just in time for us to celebrate our 1st birthday! We can’t believe Ivory Tree Portraits is already a year old! We began this journey as an independent studio to ensure we can give you fresh, timeless yet modern portraits. So you can image how excited we are by our first studio refresh!
We did a creative retreat to Magnolia Market in Waco, TX and were inspired by deep textures, natural materials and items with a history. We found white washed brick, creamy cement, and reclaimed barn wood. All these things help tell a family’s story in a natural and authentic way.
Turns out translating exterior elements into a studio isn’t as easy as it sounds, so we partnered with local artists to bring the vision alive in our studio! We worked with Manayunk Timber to source reclaimed barn wood installed on the vertical. The wood is what is call they first cut so we were able to keep all the texture and all the history. Then we partnered with Black Ridge to create a customized macramé piece… and it’s everything. We’ve been able to create a balanced approach to creating backgrounds that are current but not trendy. The key is to ensure your images are timeless with the focus on your family.
Our mini sessions will all take place on our wood wall but we’ll change the styling to match the season. So this Spring & Summer enjoy the macramé! Our mini sessions are scheduled for once a month with a specific theme, but don’t let that stop you from scheduling the time that’s perfect for your family!
We’re totally digging how they turned out, be sure to follow us on Instagram for all the fun!
In addition to our annual studio backdrop refresh. We’re excited to have released the full 2019 Calendar of sessions. Take a look at our mini sessions and Limited Edition Sessions. For all of our planners, feel free to book as far out as you’d like to ensure you get the day, time and photographer you’d like! Book Now!
