Valentine’s Day is for hearts – Sweetheart candy hearts, chocolate hearts, Reese’s hearts balloon hearts and this year, in studio, healthy hearts.
On February 14th we’re hosting a Valentine’s Day Charity Event! For a $75 donation you’ll get a quick session and 1 digital image! We’ll be filling the studio with hearts and we think it can’t be any cuter! Proceeds of this charity event are going to the American Heart Association!

Heart Health for Valentine’s Day and Everyday
If you’re new to the studio, let me introduce you to our charity events! Every year the studio picks three charities to support through a one-day event.
Heart health became of the utmost importance to me within the last two years. My dad, with whom I’m incredibly close, had a heart attack. Two actually. When it happened, he was in great health and outside cutting down trees with a chain saw. It was over Easter and we were all together and it wasn’t traumatic; there was no ambulance and no ER. He came in and took a nap, which was very concerning as it’s so out of character. He’d just been to the doctor and his cholesterol was good. Well within a week he had two surgeries with 5 stints put in.
I’ve spent the last two years watching his heart heal and am incredibly grateful as I still have so much to learn.
My Heart Health
I take after my dad in so many ways. His work ethic, optimism, empathy, love of family, quality time, and his big heart. So, I had a chat with my amazing doctor to see if I needed to something about my actual heart.
She ran a panel that included cholesterol and a cardiac CT which measures your calcium score, specifically the amount of calcified plaque to determine a patient’s risk of future heart attacks. While my text came back with a 0 (ie no visible calcified plaque) if it hadn’t, it’s important that find out early. As in our 40’s we’d have the chance to make corrections that we couldn’t decades later.
I’m very lucky to have such a progressive doctor who’s proactive in my health journey!
The Valentine’s Day Charity Event
Ok now for all the event deets. Our Valentine’s Day Charity Event is taking place on Feb 14th! Each session is 10-minutes and the $75 donation includes the session and 1 digital image (additional images available at full price). Our background is Ivory, as always, with bunches of red hearts. We think it couldn’t be move lovely! Check out all the deets here! Our charity events are our way to support truly amazing causes within the community and are available for one day only! Your $75 donation goes to the charity. That donation includes the session fee and 1 digital image.
This cute little guys is Kaeleigh’s and we could not have any more fun playing with the balloons! These sessions are perfect for all ages – toddlers, kids, teens and even grandparents if you’re celebrating their heart health!
